Green Girl Farms is leading the effort to build an environmentally sound and socially just food system in the communities surrounding the Port of Los Angeles.
We are dedicated to growing healthy, great-tasting produce on our urban farm in San Pedro and making it available to everyone through markets and donations.
What we do
Green Girl Farms’ urban farm officially started in 2015 but the seeds were planted many years ago while growing food for ourselves on a small balcony in Brooklyn, New York. The fresh tomatoes, herbs and leafy greens tasted amazing. And we found the act of putting our hands in the rich soil and growing our own food restorative and invigorating.
